Nordsee + Ostsee
Die Reihe "Faszination Wasser" wird fortgesetzt in einem Terra X Zweiteiler über die Nord- und Ostsee. Unter anderem berichte ich dieses Mal auch von unserer Forschungsarbeit in den Seegraswiesen der Ostsee oder im Kelpwald rund um die Insel Helgoland. Das große Raubtier Kegelrobbe spielt eine besondere Rolle, ebenso wie das Verhalten einiger Fische. Der Einfluss des Klimawandels auf die Rentierherden des Nordens wird ebenso thematisiert wie aktuelle Meeresforschungsgeräte und die Bergung schädlicher Geisternetze.
Die beiden Folgen wurden am 03. und 10. April 2022 im ZDF ausgestrahlt und sind in der Mediathek zu sehen.

Two new episodes of the well-known series ‘Terra X’ are available on ZDF, a German national TV channel. I am hosting this documentary about our own research in the North and Baltic Sea and also present ongoing scientific work and ocean protection projects in this area: Kelp forests off the island of Helgoland, grey seals attacking harbour seals, the effect of noise pollution on fish and the infamous ghost nets on the seafloor.
These two episodes were broadcast on 3th and 10th of April 2022 in ZDF and can be viewed in the Media Library (in German).
